If you grew up around Chicago, one sure sign that Christmas was on its way was when the venerable WGN would begin playing VERY cheesy, yet memorable features on programs like "Ray Raynor and Friend" and "Garfield Goose."

In the public domain is the best of the Christmas classics: "Hardrock, Coco and Joe."

Here Comes Suzy Snowflake!

Another sure sign of Christmas' approach in Chicagoland was this featurette found on WGN kids' shows like "Ray Raynor and Friends" and "Garfield Goose and Friends."

"Suzy Snowflake" was the darling of the girls, while the guys preferred "Hardrock, Coco and Joe."

"Suzy" is also in the public domain.

The best holiday movie of all time and one of my Top 10 favorite films, "It's a Wonderful Life" has been in the public domain for many years and, now, it is here for you to enjoy whenever you are in the mood!
